Four Competitions.
One Theme: Tourism.
Every track in the 2026 RMUTT–HIU ICT Workshop revolves around the theme of Tourism. Students choose one track, develop their work through Design Thinking workshops in Japan and Thailand, and present to an international jury at the Grand Exhibition on 16 September 2026.
iSFCInternational Short Film Contest
Cinematography · Storytelling · Cultural Narrative
The iSFC invites participants to produce a short film — live-action or animation — that explores the theme of Tourism through a cross-cultural lens. Competing works are assessed by an international committee of judges representing both RMUTT and HIU. Finalists present their films at the Grand Exhibition in September and engage in cultural exchange with students from Hokkaido.
Submission Format
- —Full HD MP4 (1920 × 1080) · max 3 minutes including titles & credits
- —Vertical (9:16) or horizontal (16:9) aspect ratio accepted
- —English subtitles mandatory
- —Must submit: script, storyboard, music files, graphics documentation
- —No copyright-infringing materials permitted

iWDCInternational Web Design Contest
UI/UX Design · Front-End Engineering · Interactive Web
The iWDC challenges participants to design and build a fully functional, English-language website on the theme of Tourism. Designs are evaluated for visual quality, user experience, technical implementation, and creative interpretation. All code must be hand-written — website builders such as WordPress or Wix are not permitted. AI tools may be used with full documentation of the process.
Submission Format
- —Built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript only — no CMS or builders
- —Mobile-responsive design is mandatory
- —English-language content with formal writing style
- —Submit: website files, source files, and process documentation
- —No special characters or Thai characters in filenames

iCPCInternational Computer Programming Contest
Application Development · AI Integration · Problem Solving
The iCPC challenges participants to design and build a prototype application — web-based or standalone software — under the concept of Tourism. The programme emphasises intelligent, user-friendly functionality with mandatory AI integration. Works are assessed across five equally-weighted criteria by a joint RMUTT–HIU committee. Finalists present in English at the Grand Exhibition.
Submission Format
- —Web application or standalone software — any language or framework
- —Must relate to Tourism in at least one meaningful aspect
- —Must include at least one functional AI feature
- —Must define a clear target user group
- —English presentation to the jury is required

2026 Theme
Creative Tourism for Sustainable Economic and Social Value Creation
The iBDP (โครงการประกวดแบบจำลองธุรกิจ) is a business simulation competition where participants develop and present a Business Model Canvas (BMC) that applies AI to address challenges in creative tourism sustainability. The programme cultivates analytical thinking, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex ideas in English to an international audience.
Submission Format
- —Submit a 1-page Business Model Canvas (BMC) in PDF or PowerPoint
- —Attach one A4 page of explanatory notes
- —Produce a 5-minute English-language presentation video
- —AI-generated content is permitted only with substantial personal revision
